Jongkey's relatioship is not the same anymore. I mean, idk, something's off. Do you see a change in their interactions too? ^{Hey, dear^^ First of all thanks a lot! (I hope you don’t mind that my answer is a bit longer) Of course you can hear my opinion and I won’t even prove you wrong tbh. In fact, yes, their relationship/interactions changed a lot but while many shippers insist that it’s in a bad way, I say that it changed for a better. JongKey’s relationship obviously changed, that can’t be denied. It matured. As simple as that. Let me give you small examples to prove my point. While back in their earlier eras (e.g. Replay, Ring Ding Dong) Jonghyun and Kibum flirted with each other and were obviously dancing the I-think-I-like-you-but-what-should-I-do dance and the moments that happened were loaded with hidden feelings, today the moments/words/interactions reveal a mature change. The moments now unveil much deeper and stronger emotions. Similar moments still happen, for example this:}

^{But the feeling is different, right? Some shippers will say back then it was better but I say in the moment in the second picture I see more balance and confidence of feelings. While in the first (and all the other earlier moments) both boys were still very insecure about each other’s feelings and their own feelings. Especially Kibum seems more relaxed and sure about Jonghyun’s feelings about him. Or let’s take another example. Kibum’s famous speech about how ideal Jonghyun is “His perfect jawline. Straight nose. Big eyes. He’s my style.” Today you wouldn’t hear something like that. Instead Kibum likes to point out how big Jonghyun’s nose is or that he looks better in pictures and in reality actually ugly. (lol) I’m sure you can identify that behaviour. At least from what I know, people tend to compliment others, when they feel attracted to them. That can’t be helped. Your mouth seems to work by itself and obvious sentences like that flood out unwillingly. That’s why I like to call the earlier eras JongKey’s secret crush eras. Things they said and did back then were often impulsive and obvious. But their later eras revealed us more intense moments in which both are aware of each other’s hearts. Today JongKey is more careful, not because of each other but because of us. Now that they finally became closer and their bond stronger, protecting it seems to be a high priority. I think what many shippers don’t think about is that there is always a “behind the cameras”, times and moments we will never witness and also are not meant to see! And that’s good. Here a very small example. During “SHINee’s One Fine Day” we heard from Jonghyun that Kibum texted him, asking if he/everything is alright. A small interaction and for many nothing special but just that small thing shows us: They never stopped caring for each other. I would like to remind you of Jonghyun’s quote which is from their Dream Girl Showcase: “Kibum has many secrets because he’s delicate.” (something along that line). This is something I often said before Jonghyun spoke it out. Kibum is a sensitive person with a delicate heart. Even if he seems strong and confident, he still has insecurities. And Jonghyun learnt to understand that. Back then when moments happened, it was often Jonghyun “playing”. I don’t mean this in a bad way. Of course behind those actions were feelings but what was missing was him not always considering how Kibum might take them. Today when Jonghyun does something, he knows exactly what it will do to Kibum, if he likes it, if he needs it and if it’s okay. And (I’m sure you know that) in the beginning of being in love or having a crush, the other person seems to be your main interest. Everything seems to involve around them. But when a relationship matures, both start to understand that yes, the other still is very important, but the world around still exists. That’s what I realized about Kibum. While in the beginning he was like a small puppy (actually still is xD) following Jonghyun around, today Kibum made a lot of social contacts, spends his free time with friends, works on his career and simply lives Kim Kibum’s life. Jonghyun is still a big factor for his happiness but not the only. (Just like Jonghyun.) And that’s really important because we all know love can also ruin you when you depend your everything on the other. I think a recent small moment showed us how deep their relationship is. When they won the Daesang Award Kibum walked over to Jonghyun and reached out for his hand. That small action showed except of relief and happiness about the success, longing and being there for one another. Some shippers say lately something about SM forbidding them to interact. Sorry, but there I have to oppose. Out of all people, I doubt that JongKey would ever freely let their agency know about what they have. That’s just fanfiction thinking. Not SM, their manager or anybody else has to tell them to be careful because they already know. Both are aware of the risks that come with being different. And I think that’s what changed most. While in the beginning where everything is new and having a crush is exciting, you tend to forget consequences and risks, but they grew older, matured and with them their relationship (includes friendship). Jonghyun today isn’t the same Jonghyun from five years ago. Same goes for Kibum. And that’s perfectly fine. No one stays the same forever. Everyone changes and with a person changing, our relationships with others change as well.  We can’t expect JongKey to be like in e.g. Hello Baby until today. That’s simply unrealistic. If their relationship wouldn’t develop and mature, it’d end. Because without development you’re stuck! (You have to move to reach something) I made often very clear that in fact I do believe that JongKey started a physical relationship far before the feelings caught up. And now finally (that’s what I think) everything is in balance. JongKey is in balance! Now my last argument as to why I think there is nothing to worry. This is something not just us shippers see but also people, who don’t even ship them or know about JongKey at all. After all this time, all these years and all the difficulties they went through, I can still see the same glint in their eyes when they look at each other, especially Jonghyun. The affection they carry in their eyes when they look at each other is still deep (if not even deeper) and as we all know, sometimes one look says more than thousand words.
